Warm interaction with beneficiaries during Sushasan Tihar: Chief Minister expresses satisfaction over positive impact of welfare scheme in Surajpur

Chief Minister encourages women to move from ‘Lakhpati Didi’ to ‘Crorepati Didi’ through enterprise expansion

Raipur: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday interacted with beneficiaries of various government schemes during the Sushasan Tihar public grievance redressal camp at Gram Rampur of Surajpur district. Reviewing improvements in livelihood of the farmers, women entrepreneurs and rural population, Chief Minister Shri Sai said good governance becomes meaningful only when welfare schemes reach the last person in society.

During the interaction, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai spoke to Smt. Jageshwari Prajapati of the Sadhana Women Self-Help Group about their potato chips business. She informed him that the group had earned nearly Rs 1.85 lakh through sales. Smiling, Chief Minister Shri Sai remarked, “Even hearing about the potato chips sounds mouth-watering.”

Appreciating the women’s entrepreneurship, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai encouraged them to expand production, improve packaging and strengthen market linkages. Referring to the “Lakhpati Didi Yojana,” Shri Sai said that the government aims to increase it outreach to every corner of the state. He urged women to now move forward towards becoming “Crorepati Didis.”

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said economically empowered women form the strongest foundation for the development of families, society and the state.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai also interacted with Shri Pran Sai Prajapati, a beneficiary of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, who said the scheme fulfilled his family’s dream of owning a permanent house. Chief Minister Shri Sai said providing dignified housing to every poor family remains a top government priority.

Highlighting the impact of Sushasan Tihar, Smt. Priya Singh of Gram Chandrapur informed Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai that her ration card application submitted at the camp was approved the same day. Calling it an example of responsive governance, Chief Minister Shri Sai said the objective of Sushasan Tihar is to ensure quick and simple resolution of public grievances at people’s doorsteps.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai also met a beneficiary of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, who said he was using the assistance amount for vegetable cultivation. Appreciating the initiative, Chief Minister Shri Sai encouraged him to install a solar pump under the Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana to reduce irrigation costs and make farming more profitable. He said modern technology and renewable energy would strengthen farmers’ incomes.

Expressing satisfaction over the positive impact of welfare schemes, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said the true success of government programmes lies in bringing visible change in people’s lives. He urged villagers to take maximum benefit of welfare schemes and contribute towards building a self-reliant and developed Chhattisgarh.
